Out of interest I looked up "reform" in the concordance.

(with words); hence to instruct: – bind, chasten, chastise, correct,
instruct, punish, reform, reprove, sore, teach.
Lev 26:23-25- And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things,
but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto
you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will
bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my
covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I
will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into
the hand of the enemy.
In the Greek:

From G303 and a derivative of G3501; to renovate, that is, reform:
– renew.
Eph 4:22-24- That ye put off concerning the former conversation
the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And
be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new
man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
"Revive" seems to indicate giving life to something that has become
dead. The west does not need a revival in the sense of giving life to
that which is totally depraved of the fear of God. It has strayed so
far off course of His precepts and Spirit, that it needs a reminder
of what happens when God is mocked.
The west needs a "reformation" that only the chastisement or
judgment of the Lord can bring.
