Sow in Tears; Reap in Joy

12

Sow in Tears; Reap in Joy

Here is a word for you from the Word

Psalm 126:5-6

Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.     NIV

The Bible is so accurate, so faithful to life. It doesn’t give us a rosy, false picture of what life is like. It shows us both the dark and the light, the evil and the good, the hard and the enjoyable, the bitter and the sweet.

And it says that, in effect, if we want to reap we are going to have to sow. That’s a law of life; it’s a law of the universe. It says that sowing will be done with tears, but reaping will come with joy. That’s faith, you see. You’ve got to go out with your seed even in tears, to scatter the seed and be willing to wait, and to wait upon God and let Him bring forth the harvest which He’s promised. But the promise is so beautiful, “He that goes out weeping carrying seed to sow will return with songs of joy carrying sheaves with him.”

Let this be a message to you. If you are feeling discouraged, if you are feeling that somehow things aren’t going the way you want them to, that you are working and seeing so few and such indeterminate results, just be prepared to weep. But go on sowing, because God has promised that if you sow the good seed, even weeping, there’ll come a day when you’ll carry back your arms full of sheaves with songs of joy. Don’t be afraid to sow even in tears, you’ll reap with songs of joy.

OUR DEAR AMERICA - Where do you go From Here?

OUR DEAR AMERICA - Where do you go From Here?
by Wolfgang and Mercy Simson.

Today, Obama has been re-elected; all the efforts of many Christian
leaders, prayer movements, "prophets" and "concerned Americans"
who have lobbied, written appeals, articles, books, letters - some
have even done films - to warn not to vote for him have come to
nothing. Many of them have behaved as if the future of the Kingdom
of God is at stake. Well, it is not.

Can we, as foreigners who dearly love you as a people, say a few
words into this situation? Because it is evident to us that God has
a clear plan with your nation. But many don t seem to see it, and
therefore run the danger of fighting the wrong fight, wasting precious
time and resources, and even endlessly call upon God to do what
he just will not do.

The German weekly Der Spiegel, kind of a German Time Magazine,
has a cover picture of Uncle Sam in bed, titled, The American
Patient: The decline of a Great Nation. We think this is a prophetic
picture. As your friends, we know, acknowledge and admire that
America has had a great past. But how will your future look like?

God chastises whom he loves because he knows: pride will come
before the fall, and humbleness and brokenness is the only condition
he responds to. We personally sense we need to tell you: the
destiny of your nation is in God´s hands, not yours. It is not at all
about Obama or Romney, it is about God using all the nations in
the world according to his global and unchanging plans. Did you
ever allow the thought that God in his sovereignty is using Obama
like a pawn on his chessboard to humble the US as a nation
because he wants to show his grace to a nation gone completely
self-sufficient? A nation that is so full of independence, individualism,
nationalism and trusting a greed- and fear-based economy that there
may be only one way open to heal it from its idolatry and re-align
itself with the Kingdom of God: a crisis beyond anything that
America has ever seen?

In 2008, God has been challenged by a man standing up in public,
preaching to the cheers of a huge crowd: "Yes we can!" We watched
it; we saw the tears of excitement in the eyes of the people; the
statements were received as if coming from the Messiah himself,
and the electoral rallies had all the flavor of a religious revival. "Yes,
we can" is the exact opposite of the King of kings saying: "Without
me, you can do nothing!"

If God is the one who "deposes kings and raises up others" (Dan
2:21), does it really matter what are the names of the current
puppets set in place by God that advance both the New World
Order and the Kingdom of God? Neither Herod, Pilate nor Caesar
were truly important for the development of the Kingdom. That is
exactly why Kingdom people do not play in the Second League,
but the First, the one that matters. The one that puts the Kingdom
first, and everything else - including their own nation - second.

The problem of the current commotion and insecurities arises
when even the people that call themselves after God keep confusing
the Kingdom of God with the United States of America. And when
that happens, especially through Christians with a public voice,
then we have truly lost all perspective of the coming Kingdom of
Jesus Christ and the predictions he has made that will precede
his coming.

America is being publicly humbled by God; and he is going to use
Obama - and those after him - to further advance his agenda that
will lead all nations to kneel before that one true King Jesus very
soon. If any nation wants to become a tower that reaches up to
high heaven, it will be humbled by a God who will not share his
glory with people relying on their own strength.

America, where do you go from here? What does this mean for
you? The future is going to be very, very rough. Your securities
will vanish, the economy will go down, the education system will
become even worse, the streets more dangerous, the churches
even more divided, the youth even more disillusioned - unless
there is a true movement that abandons all those idols mentioned
above, and radically repents, makes a radical alignment with the
King of the Kingdom of God and his constitution, live the Law of
Christ in all areas of life, first and foremost in the areas of sex,
money, power and how we "do church". This is a defining moment
for you as a nation. You could go down, as the German journalist
of `Der Spiegel´ predicted. Or, America could be literally re-invented
by Kingdom people who are ready to implode the prevailing myths
about America's greatness, and replace it by God´s greatness.
The King has even greater things purposed and would fulfill those
purpose IF those who call themselves after Jesus the King, would
turn away from their self-made religion, self-made churches and
religious factions, self-made visions of success, and their self-made,
harmless God.

Can we lovingly but urgently call you back at this hour to begin and
initiate a movement to reposition and repatriate yourselves into the
eternal Kingdom, by submitting yourself not only in theory but also
in practical deeds to Jesus the King, starting to obey the King and
his liberating decrees in all the areas that count? You might even
want to write a declaration of dependence on God and each other,
because by idolizing anything else before and over God, you will
become illegal aliens in the country that counts, where we all are
called to have our home: the Kingdom, the one place where our
true citizenship, nationality and allegiance lies (Phil 3:20). This is
the only one country that will not be shaken, as it has an
unchanging King.

PICTURE OF a PROPHET

-by Leonard Ravenhill.

The prophet in his day is fully accepted of God and totally rejected by men.

Years back, Dr. Gregory Mantle was right when he said, "No man
can be fully accepted until he is totally rejected." The prophet of
the Lord is aware of both these experiences. They are his "brand name."

The group, challenged by the prophet because they are smug and
comfortably insulated from a perishing world in their warm but
untested theology, is not likely to vote him "Man of the year" when
he refers to them as habituates of the synagogue of Satan!

The prophet comes to set up that which is upset. His work is to
call into line those who are out of line! He is unpopular because he
opposes the popular in morality and spirituality. In a day of faceless
politicians and voiceless preachers, there is not a more urgent
national need than that we cry to God for a prophet! The function
of the prophet, as Austin-Sparks once said, "has almost always
been that of recovery."

The prophet is God's detective seeking for a lost treasure. The
degree of his effectiveness is determined by his measure of
unpopularity. Compromise is not known to him.

He has no price tags.

He is totally 'otherworldly.'

He is unquestionably controversial and unpardonably hostile.

He marches to another drummer!

He breathes the rarefied air of inspiration.

He is a "seer" who comes to lead the blind.

He lives in the heights of God and comes into the valley with a
"thus saith the Lord."

He shares some of the foreknowledge of God and so is aware of
impending judgment.

He lives in 'splendid isolation.'

He is forthright and outright, but he claims no birthright.

His message is "repent, be reconciled to God or else...!"

His prophecies are parried.

His truth brings torment, but his voice is never void.

He is the villain of today and the hero of tomorrow.

He is excommunicated while alive and exalted when dead!

He is dishonored with epithets when breathing and honored with
epitaphs when dead.

He is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, but few 'make the grade'
in his class.

He is friendless while living and famous when dead.

He is against the establishment in ministry; then he is established
as a saint by posterity.

He eats daily the bread of affliction while he ministers, but he feeds
the Bread of Life to those who listen.

He walks before men for days but has walked before God for years.

He is a scourge to the nation before he is scourged by the nation.

He announces, pronounces, and denounces!

He has a heart like a volcano and his words are as fire.

He talks to men about God.

He carries the lamp of truth amongst heretics while he is lampooned by men.

He faces God before he faces men, but he is self-effacing.

He hides with God in the secret place, but he has nothing to hide
in the marketplace.

He is naturally sensitive but supernaturally spiritual.

He has passion, purpose and pugnacity.

He is ordained of God but disdained by men.

Our national need at this hour is not that the dollar recover its
strength, or that we save face over the Watergate affair, or that we
find the answer to the ecology problem. We need a God-sent prophet!

I am bombarded with talk or letters about the coming shortages in
our national life: bread, fuel, energy. I read between the lines from
people not practiced in scaring folk. They feel that the "seven years
of plenty" are over for us. The "seven years of famine" are ahead.
But the greatest famine of all in this nation at this given moment is
a FAMINE OF THE HEARING OF THE WORDS OF GOD (Amos 8:11).

Millions have been spent on evangelism in the last twenty-five years.
Hundreds of gospel messages streak through the air over the nation
every day. Crusades have been held; healing meetings have made
a vital contribution. "Come-outers" have "come out" and settled, too,
without a nation-shaking revival. Organizers we have. Skilled
preachers abound. Multi-million dollar Christian organizations
straddle the nation. BUT where, oh where, is the prophet? Where
are the incandescent men fresh from the holy place? Where is the
Moses to plead in fasting before the holiness of the Lord for our
moldy morality, our political perfidy, and sour and sick spirituality?

GOD'S MEN ARE IN HIDING UNTIL THE DAY OF THEIR SHOWING FORTH.

They will come.

The prophet is violated during his ministry, but he is vindicated by history.

There is a terrible vacuum in evangelical Christianity today. The
missing person in our ranks is the prophet. The man with a terrible
earnestness. The man totally otherworldly. The man rejected by
other men, even other good men, because they consider him too
austere, too severely committed, too negative and unsociable.

Let him be as plain as John the Baptist.

Let him for a season be a voice crying in the wilderness of modern
theology and stagnant "churchianity."

Let him be as selfless as Paul the apostle.

Let him, too, say and live, "This ONE thing I do."

Let him reject ecclesiastical favors.

Let him be self-abasing, nonself-seeking, nonself-projecting,
nonself-righteous, nonself-glorying, nonself-promoting.

Let him say nothing that will draw men to himself but only that which
will move men to God.

Let him come daily from the throne room of a holy God, the place
where he has received the order of the day. Let him, under God,
unstop the ears of the millions who are deaf through the clatter of
shekels milked from this hour of material mesmerism.

Let him cry with a voice this century has not heard because he
has seen a vision no man in this century has seen. God send us
this Moses to lead us from the wilderness of crass materialism,
where the rattlesnakes of lust bite us and where enlightened men,
totally blind spiritually, lead us to an ever-nearing Armageddon.
---------------------------------------------------------
God have mercy! Send us PROPHETS!

"When a prophet is accepted and deified, his message is lost. The
prophet is only useful so long as he is stoned as a public nuisance
calling us to repentance, disturbing our comfortable routines,
breaking our respectable idols, shattering our sacred conventions."
-A. G. Gardiner.

"The function of the Prophet has almost invariably been that of
recovery. That implies that his business is related to something
lost. That something being absolutely essential to God's full
satisfaction, the dominant note of the Prophet was one of
dissatisfaction. And, there being the additional factor that, for
obvious reasons, the people were not disposed to go the costly
way of God's full purpose, the Prophet was usually an unpopular person."
-T. Austin Sparks.

"Those whom God calls to such a ministry - and a call is essential -
must be prepared for a pathway of unpopularity and misunderstanding.
"You troubler of Israel" was the way Ahab addressed Elijah."
-Arthur Wallis.

Romans 11:1-27 NLT

I ask, then, has God rejected his own people, the nation of Israel? Of course not! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham and a member of the tribe of Benjamin.
No, God has not rejected his own people, whom he chose from the very beginning. Do you realize what the Scriptures say about this? Elijah the prophet complained to God about the people of Israel and said, “LORD, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.”
And do you remember God’s reply? He said, “No, I have 7,000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!”
It is the same today, for a few of the people of Israel have remained faithful because of God’s grace—his undeserved kindness in choosing them. And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.
So this is the situation: Most of the people of Israel have not found the favor of God they are looking for so earnestly. A few have—the ones God has chosen—but the hearts of the rest were hardened. As the Scriptures say,
“God has put them into a deep sleep.
To this day he has shut their eyes so they do not see,
and closed their ears so they do not hear.” Likewise, David said,
“Let their bountiful table become a snare,
a trap that makes them think all is well.
Let their blessings cause them to stumble,
and let them get what they deserve. Let their eyes go blind so they cannot see,
and let their backs be bent forever.” Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves. Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it.
I am saying all this especially for you Gentiles. God has appointed me as the apostle to the Gentiles. I stress this, for I want somehow to make the people of Israel jealous of what you Gentiles have, so I might save some of them. For since their rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, their acceptance will be even more wonderful. It will be life for those who were dead! And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their descendants will also be holy—just as the entire batch of dough is holy because the portion given as an offering is holy. For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.
But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree. But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.
“Well,” you may say, “those branches were broken off to make room for me.” Yes, but remember—those branches were broken off because they didn’t believe in Christ, and you are there because you do believe. So don’t think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen. For if God did not spare the original branches, he won’t spare you either.
Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off. And if the people of Israel turn from their unbelief, they will be grafted in again, for God has the power to graft them back into the tree. You, by nature, were a branch cut from a wild olive tree. So if God was willing to do something contrary to nature by grafting you into his cultivated tree, he will be far more eager to graft the original branches back into the tree where they belong.
I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ. And so all Israel will be saved. As the Scriptures say,
“The one who rescues will come from Jerusalem,
and he will turn Israel away from ungodliness. And this is my covenant with them,
that I will take away their sins.” (Romans 11:1-27 NLT)

Last Days Word from the Lord

The Lord have me this word for God's People on May 20, 2009 for such a time as this.

Come to me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Do not be afraid of what you are hearing in the news, some of these things must come to pass. Stay close to Me and I will give you what you need in the hour that it is needed. Did I not send Moses to get my people out of Egypt and take them to the promised land? Did I not send Joseph to Egypt at the appointed time. Did I not provide for my people housing and food at a time when there was famine in the land? You have seen me Move since the beginning of time in ways that others thought that it was impossible. I am the God of the impossible. All things are possible with Me. I desire that my people trust Me 100% all of the time. Look at the times and the seasons, and you will see when My time is near, then I will be there.

Oh, my people! Come to Me and let Me cleanse you from all the things that so easily beset you. Let Me remove the bondages of My enemy from off of you. Let Me cleanse You. I have so many things that I want to release to you, but I need to trust you with these things because they are great things. I said in My word that the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the just. This is true. But I have to tear down first and then build up. Tear down the old waste places and the old walls that have deteriorated and fallen. Then I will build up new foundations so that when I release My wealth, it will be put to good use for the work of My Kingdom; and my work will be seen all over the world; and my people will go forth and spread My word and miracles, signs and wonders will follow them every where they go. Miracles signs, and wonders will be seen by unbelievers and they will be drawn to Me because of your obedience to go and spread the Gospel of My Son Jesus the anointed One, My beloved. The world will see many come to My Son Jesus, and many will be set free and be healed in the name of My Son Jesus.

Come to My Fire my people and let Me cleanse you. It is your choice. Don't be afraid of My fire. Just like gold, My fire will bring all the dross to the top then I will remove it and only the pure gold will remain. The time draws near when all things will come to pass.

Hiding Place - Chuck Pierce

Key Prophecy! A Hiding Place is Being Established! We continue to give thanks for how the Spirit of God met us so powerfully during our Pentecost Celebration. Below are additional prophetic words that the Lord led me to release during that time:
"In days ahead war is stirring. The heavenlies are filled with war. That which is happening in My covenant land will now affect the places where My covenant people are being re-centered in America. This will affect the economy of nations in days ahead.
"Though the heavens are filled with warfare, I have a hiding place for My people. The hiding place that man has built will not protect in the days ahead - I Am the only hiding place that can be run into. I will be a shield for those who trust. In My refuge, the windows of My people will stand the blast of the enemy.
"Remove fear from you. Remove fear from you. The war in the heavenlies will penetrate the earth, but in the midst of this, you have a protective shield of faith. Faith now will rise in a people and that faith will not only protect them but protect their children and their children's children.
"Some of you are living in the moment of your change for the future. Some of you feel vulnerable in this moment. Fear not! I Am forming a protection around you in this time you are forming! YOU WILL BE new for the world to see in the days ahead! In the midst of this forming I am wrapping My wing around you like a cocoon. Do not fear. Do not fear, for in this transition time I will cover you and bring you forth in a way that you will soar in the next season.
"The paths are changing. Paths are changing; worship and release your unique sound now and I will cover you! I will go before you and I will be your rearguard.
"I'm sending a gentle rain over you for I know you need refreshment to further your path. A refreshing is coming upon you now for a path ahead will be a pioneering path. You need to be refreshed now for the days ahead! You will be established, even though now you feel un-established! Receive a refreshing rain that will cause you to find the place where I will shadow over you.
"I have seen your weakness. In your weakness I am releasing a vitamin of My Spirit to bring you strength to endure for your faith is moving beyond endurance, into manifestation. In your weakness, know that strength will abound.
"I am casting down from you that which you have exalted above My thinking. I AM the God that sends the armies of heaven to overtake the armies of the earth that are going against My Will. I have lands and people who participate with Me. You have grown passive in what I am doing. This day rise up, rise up, rise up and be active with Me as I transfer lands into My people's hands.
"I am coming with a diamond head drill bit to break through that hard pan that has held back what needs to be loosed for Kingdom advancement this hour.
"BE RE-CENTERED, RE-FRESHED, RE-FURBISHED, RE-COVERED, RE-ORDERED, and RE-VIVED! I AM COMING TO VISIT A PEOPLE THAT WILL RISE UP AND BE SENT INTO THE WORLD TO CHANGE THE COURSE AND PATH THAT MANY NATIONS AND CITIES ARE PRESENTLY TAKING!"
Blessings,
Chuck D. Pierce

Pray for Pastors Campaign

Strategy

1. Pray for pastors who are pastoring for the first time. Pray for clear clear discernment and clear clear Vision. That they will have keen spiritual ears to hear what God's plan is for the sheep in their care. It's not about a bigger church it's about knowing what condition the sheep are in and what they need to heal so they can grow. It's about ministering in power under the anointing. The anointing breaks they yoke. Without the anointing there is no power. It is our responsibility to find out what we need to do to operate in the anointing.

David was anointed and empowered. David was a pastor. He knew how to protect the sheep from the wild animals. That is the reason why God chose David. David was fearless because he knew God. And God knew his heart.

Not all ministers are called by God to pastor. Make sure "God" has chosen you to pastor, not man, otherwise many people will get hurt.

2. Pray for your pastor who is obeying God to continue obeying God and do what he has been called to do. Pray for strength and courage to resist temptation and for he/she to do the right thing. And pray that he/she will continue to stay on the right path.

3. Pray for pastors who are practicing sin: adultery, perversions, pride, rebellion, disobedience, etc. Pray that strong conviction will fall on your pastor so that he/she will repent and do what needs to be done for deliverance and restoration.

Enough is enough. If you know your paster is practicing sin, and you have proof stop giving your tithes unto an unholy alter and get out.

Our desire is for God to raise up "true pastors"'in these last days who are full of His power and love and more ministers also full of His power and love.

This is what God is saying:

I ASSURE you, most solemnly I tell you, he who does not enter
by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way (elsewhere, from some other quarter) is a thief and a robber. (John 10:1 AMP)

My anger is kindled against the shepherds [who are not true shepherds] and I will punish the goat leaders, for the Lord of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as His beautiful and majestic horse in the battle. (Zechariah 10:3 AMP)

Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them, even to the [spiritual] shepherds, Thus says the Lord God: Woe to the [spiritual] shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the sheep? (Ezekiel 34:2 AMP)

As for those who are guilty and persist in sin, rebuke and admonish them in the presence of all, so that the rest may be warned and stand in wholesome awe and fear. (1 Timothy 5:20 AMP)

And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. (Ephesians 4:11 AMP)

Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways, [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper]. (Colossians 3:12 AMP)

WOE TO the shepherds (the civil leaders) who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasturing! says the Lord. (Jeremiah 23:1 AMP)

WHEN ALL MEANS FAIL - David Wilkerson

ANDREW STROM: I got home from Papua New Guinea last night
to find that it was true what I had heard - that David Wilkerson had
been killed in a car crash and gone home to be with the Lord. Truly
a great man of God who will be sorely missed on this earth. One
of the few voices for Truth and Righteousness that had a global
reach in the modern church. We will miss you, David. Below is
his final Devotional that he sent out just before his death at age 79-

WHEN ALL MEANS FAIL-David Wilkerson (Apr 27).

To believe when all means fail is exceedingly pleasing to God and
is most acceptable. Jesus said to Thomas, “You have believed
because you have seen, but blessed are those that do believe
and have not seen” (John 20:29).
Blessed are those who believe when there is no evidence of an
answer to prayer—who trust beyond hope when all means have failed.
Someone has come to the place of hopelessness—the end of
hope—the end of all means. A loved one is facing death and
doctors give no hope. Death seems inevitable. Hope is gone. The
miracle prayed for is not happening.
That is when Satan’s hordes come to attack your mind with fear,
anger, overwhelming questions: “Where is your God now? You
prayed until you had no tears left. You fasted. You stood on
promises. You trusted.”
Blasphemous thoughts will be injected into your mind: “Prayer failed.
Faith failed. Don’t quit on God—just do not trust him anymore. It
doesn’t pay!”
Even questioning God’s existence will be injected into your mind.
These have been the devices of Satan for centuries. Some of the
godliest men and women who ever lived were under such demonic
attacks.
To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this
word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights—and in
that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, “I am with
you. I cannot tell you why right now, but one day it will all make
sense. You will see it was all part of my plan. It was no accident.
It was no failure on your part. Hold fast. Let me embrace you in
your hour of pain.”
Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love.
When all means fail—his love prevails. Hold fast to your faith.
Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world.

HOW the APOSTLES DIED

HOW the APOSTLES DIED

-According to both tradition and church history...
_1_ Matthew
Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia , killed by a sword wound.
_2_ Mark
Died in Alexandria , Egypt , after being dragged by horses through the
streets until he was dead.
_3_ Luke
Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous preaching to the lost.
_4_ John
Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge basin of boiling oil during
a wave of persecution in Rome. However, he was
miraculously delivered from death. John was then sentenced to the mines
on the prison island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic
Book of Revelation on Patmos . The apostle John was later freed and
returned to serve as Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey. He died as an
old man, the only apostle to die peacefully.
_5_ Peter
He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross. According to church
tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he
felt unworthy to die in the same way that Jesus Christ had died.
_6_ James the Just
The leader of the church in Jerusalem, was thrown over a hundred feet
down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple
when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that
he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
This
was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.*
_7_ James the Great
Son of Zebedee, was a fisherman by trade when Jesus called him to a
lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader
of the church, James was ultimately beheaded at Jerusalem . The Roman
officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at
his trial. Later, the officer walked beside James to the place of
execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the
judge and knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.
_8_ Bartholomew
Also known as Nathaniel, was a missionary to Asia. He witnessed for our
Lord in present day Turkey. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching
in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.
_9_ Andrew
Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras , Greece. After being
whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to
the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that,
when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these
words: 'I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has
been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.' He continued to
preach to his tormentors for two days until he expired.
_10_ Thomas
Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to
establish the church in the sub-continent.
_11_ Jude
Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.
_12_ Matthias
The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot, was stoned
and then beheaded.
_13_ Paul
Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D.
67. Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which
allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed
throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many
of the foundational doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of
the New Testament.
Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed
minor compared to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the
apostles/disciples during their times for the sake of the Faith. "And ye
shall be hated of all men for my name's sake:"
"But he that endureth to the end shall be saved." - Matthew 10:22.

GOD’s POWERFUL ARMY

GOD’s POWERFUL ARMY
-by David Wilkerson.

Something very powerful and awesome is going on in the world today
—something beyond human comprehension—something that will
affect the whole world in these last days.
God is preparing a small but powerful army of Christians, the most
dedicated army on the face of the earth. The Lord will come forth to
command them to do exploits; He is going to close out the ages
with a pure, devoted, fearless remnant.
All my life I have heard stories about our godly forefathers who
hated sin. These men and women knew God’s voice and spent
hours, even days, in fasting and prayer. They prayed unceasingly
and had the power and ability to successfully stand up against
immorality in their day.
These forefathers have long since passed on. But God is in the
process of raising up another army and this time His warriors will
not be made up only of elderly, gray-haired fathers and mothers of
Zion. This new army will be composed of both new and seasoned
believers, both young and old, ordinary Christians who lay hold of
God! A whole new realm of ministry is about to come forth!
The denominational church system appears to be in the throes of
death. It has almost no influence in the secular world, no mighty
power in Christ. Some accuse me of being “hard” on pastors. But I
am in touch with many godly pastors who grieve as I do over the
backsliding in the ministry today. There is a holy remnant of godly
pastors in the land, and I thank God for every one of them. Yet, it
is still a fact that more and more ministers are racing down the
road of compromise.
The Bible warns that we are not to fret! God has a plan and it is
being manifested. It is put forth plainly in Scripture, mostly in the
first four chapters of First Samuel.
The prophet Samuel is a type of God’s last-days remnant. The
Lord chose him amid the worst of times and hid him away in
training until it was time to bring forth His new thing. God told
Samuel, “Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears
of everyone who hears it will tingle” (1 Samuel 3:11). What would
so amaze and startle all who heard it? It was the judgment of God
on the backslidden religious system and the raising up, training
and anointing of a new, holy remnant!
What God did in Samuel’s day, He does in every generation.
Indeed, in every generation there has been a remnant, a praying
people after His own heart.
BIRTH OF the LAST-DAYS REMNANT
The prophet Samuel is a type of the last-days holy remnant—a
prepared body of believers that rises out of the ruins of the old,
decadent church.
Hannah, Samuel’s mother, birthed her son through bitter tears and
much prayer. “And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the
Lord and wept in anguish” (1 Samuel 1:10).
Try to imagine the scene: Hannah was at the temple every day, on
her knees before the altar, crushed and broken because she was
childless. As she wept, her adversary—her husband’s other wife—
made fun of her. “And her rival also provoked her severely, to make
her miserable, because the Lord had closed her womb” (1 Samuel 1:6).
There are three important things I want to point out from this passage:
   * First, the remnant that Samuel represents is born in grief and
intercession.
   * Second, those who pray and grieve after God’s heart will be
provoked by adversaries.
   * And third, God’s remnant is always going to be misunderstood!
Note what happened to Hannah as she prayed: “And it happened,
as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her
mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but
her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. So
Eli said to her, ‘How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away
from you!’” (1 Samuel 1:12-14). Eli and his sons represent the
dying, corrupt church that has forsaken the Lord’s way. Eli was so
out of touch—so dead in his spirit—he thought Hannah was drunk!
When Hannah was praying, she was filled with grief, burdened for
the birth of a son. All she could do was move her lips because of
her groaning in the Spirit. She prayed, “If You will indeed look on
the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and . . . will
give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord
all the days of his life” (1 Samuel 1:11).
Here are two distinguishing marks of God’s holy remnant:
   * They pray like Hannah. Their burden is deep and their heart is
stirred because of the wickedness in God’s house.
   * Like Hannah, they give themselves to prayer every day of their lives.
God wants to make you like that. He wants you to be able to touch
Him and hear from Him. He wants to give you a ministry to others
who will come to you with their burdens and trials. And as you pray
for them, His Word will come forth!

What happens to people who have never heard the gospel?

What happens to people who have never heard the gospel?

I have a question regarding salvation. What do you believe happens to people who never get to hear the word of God, such as in remote places of the world? Also, what about people of other faiths that are not Christian but were brought up that way. If they were good people while here will they go to hell for choosing ot believe another religion? Does the Bible make any mention to this?
My response is in Green:
This question comes up often. We need to look at several things. First there is no doubt that no one gets to heaven without going through Jesus Christ as He stated:
(John 14:6 NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
But we need to understand exactly what Jesus meant by that statement. Most people will say that unless a person knows Jesus Christ they cannot get to heaven. I am not sure that is 'exactly' what Jesus meant and I will try to show you why I say that.
To understand this point we must go back to the Old Testament. The question is this, how did the Old Testament people get to heaven? It could not have been that they knew Jesus, because He had not yet come to earth as a human being for them to know. So how were they saved? Many people would say they were saved by following the Law, until Jesus came and then everything changed. But is that what the Bible says? Let's look:
(Romans 3:28 NIV) For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.
(Hebrews 11:4-19 NIV) [4] By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.
[5] By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. [6] And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
[7] By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
[8] By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. [9] By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. [10] For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
[11] By faith Abraham, even though he was past age-and Sarah herself was barren-was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise. [12] And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.
[13] All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. [14] People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. [15] If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. [16] Instead, they were longing for a better country-a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
[17] By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, [18] even though God had said to him, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned." [19] Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death.
We today realize that we are not saved by following the Law, but rather we are saved by faith. Well the Old Testament Saints were saved by faith also. Our faith is in Jesus Christ, but their faith was in God. Faith that He would provide a Redeemer to take away their sins. Look at this quote from Job:
(Job 19:25-27 NIV) [25] I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.
[26] And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;
[27] I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
Job had faith that his Redeemer existed and that He would one day stand upon the earth. In other words he had faith that God would send His perfect lamb to die for Job's sins. Even though these people did not know what Jesus' name was or was going to be, they still had faith and trusted God to redeem them. So they were saved just like we are today, by faith, not by works. Now the Law did have something to do with their salvation, but not in the way most people think. The people were attesting to their faith by following the Law that God commanded them to follow. If they had refused to follow the Law then they would have been saying they no longer had faith in God and no longer believed He would deliver them. I believe that is still true today. When a person goes back into sin and does not follow Christ they are in effect saying they no longer have faith in Him. But that is a different discussion.
That brings us back to today. We who have heard the gospel must either come to Christ or we are forever lost. But what about those who have never heard the gospel? Is there a way for them to be saved without knowing who Jesus is? We have already established that there was a way in the past, by following God and believing Him. But does that mean anything today?
First we must look at the question of whether a person can know God without hearing about Him from someone else:
(Romans 1:20 NIV) For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
We see that no one has an excuse. Now if no one has an excuse but yet not everyone has heard of Jesus Christ that would make me think that there is a way to do what the people in the Old Testament did, believe in God and serve Him, even without knowing who Jesus is. But we must look further.
(Romans 10:14-15 NIV) [14] How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? [15] And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
Now this passage would seem to say that people can't believe unless they have heard. It is in the very same letter to the Romans as the first passage I quoted. Is Paul having trouble figuring out which is true? No, the problem is our understanding of what is being said. We need to keep digging.
Paul goes on to quote from the Old Testament:
(Romans 15:21 NIV) Rather, as it is written: "Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand."
Many people also try to claim that God had no salvation plan for anyone in the Old Testament other than the Israelites, but that is not true either. The whole story of Jonah was about God sending him to preach to Nineveh. Why didn't Jonah want to go preach to them?
(Jonah 4:1-3 NIV) [1] But Jonah was greatly displeased and became angry. [2] He prayed to the LORD, "O LORD, is this not what I said when I was still at home? That is why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. [3] Now, O LORD, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live."
He didn't want to preach to them because he knew God would forgive them if they repented. What kind of message did Jonah preach to them finally?
(Jonah 3:4-5 (NIV) [4] On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed: "Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned." [5] The Ninevites believed God. They declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.
He didn't preach a message of repentance, he just told them they were going to die, yet they "believed God" and repented. What did God do? He did not destroy them. My point is that Jonah did not give them the Law, he did not tell them what they could do to be saved, he just preached that God was going to destroy them. He did not even tell them there was a God, other than in saying that Nineveh would be destroyed.
You might be asking, what does any of that have to do with people today? Well I believe that God is still sending His message around the world. Maybe not in physical form like Jonah, but in a way that the people understand. That brings up a very good book on the subject; Eternity in Their Hearts by Don Richardson. In the book the author tells the stories of many different peoples who have had God's witness. I can't remember specifics off the top of my head, but I can give you a couple of examples.
A missionary visited a tribe up in the mountains of a remote region of Asia near India. The missionary was a white man and the tribes people were dark brown. They had been isolated and had never seen a white man before. The missionary hired another native from a surrounding village to lead him to this tribe. When he arrived the villagers got very excited. When he asked the guide to tell him what was happening he was told that they wanted to know if he was the one who was going to give them "the Book?" He asked what book they were talking about and he heard a story that gave him goose bumps.
The villagers had handed down from generation to generation the legend that one day a white man (remember they had never seen a white man before) would come and give them a book which would tell them how to be reconciled to God. Now they had another name for God, which I can't remember right now, but their legend said that they used to know God, but had become separated from Him and needed someone to help them gain that relationship back again. For generations they had had faith that one day God would send a white man to them with a book that would explain what they had to do to be reconciled with God. Of course the missionary showed them the Bible and taught them about Jesus Christ.
Now here is the question. What happened to those who died before this missionary arrived to give them the gospel? Remember how the Old Testament Saints were saved; by having faith in God to send a redeemer to reconcile them to Him. Isn't that what these people had faith in too, even if it was stated a little differently?
The book has many stories of isolated tribes of people who had legends pertaining to God, and which they followed generation after generation. Now I am not trying to say or teach that there are multiple ways to God, there is only One way and that is through Jesus Christ who died for our sins. However, I am saying that I believe that God is merciful and just and compassionate and will judge people on what they do know and not what they don't or can't know.
I have tried to show that the Old Testament Saints were saved by faith in God, even though they did not know who Jesus Christ was and had not heard the gospel as we know it. And I believe that model shows that people can trust God and place their faith in Him, even if they have not heard the gospel. But how does that square with this statement from Jesus?
(John 14:6 NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
As I said I believe that verse too. Let's look at the Temple in Jesus' day. There was a section called the Holy of Holies. This was where the ark of the covenant was and on the ark was the mercy seat where God's glory rested. This area was off limits to everyone except the High Priest and he could only go into it once a year with a sacrifice. No one else was allowed into the presence of God.
Now look at what happened at Jesus' death:
(Matthew 27:50-51 NIV) [50] And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
[51] At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.
The curtain that had kept everyone out was split from top to bottom, thereby opening up to everyone the presence of God. But that is not all that happened:
(Ephesians 4:8 NIV) This is why it says: "When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men."
Who were these captives and where were they? We need to look at some other things that Jesus said.
(Luke 23:43 NIV) Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
This is what Jesus said to the thief on the cross. But where is paradise or I should say; where was paradise. Again we can look at what Jesus said:
(Luke 16:19-31 NIV) [19] "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. [20] At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores [21] and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.
[22] "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. [23] In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. [24] So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'
[25] "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. [26] And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'
[27] "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, [28] for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.'
[29] "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'
[30] "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.'
[31] "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"
Now we know from extra-biblical Jewish writings, such as the Talmud, that the Jews believed that Hades had two compartments. One compartment was hell, where the unsaved went to await judgment. The second compartment was called both Abraham's bosom and paradise.
Now why would believers not go to heaven when they died? Why would they go to paradise? Because their sins had not yet been paid for. They were captives waiting for their redeemer to set them free. Going to heaven would have meant going into the presence of God and as we showed with the Holy of Holies no one was allowed to do that. But when Jesus paid for our sins, He opened the way to the presence of God. So the curtain was torn and He took those who were waiting in paradise to heaven to be with the Father.
So all those Old Testament Saints who had never heard of Jesus were taken to heaven and into God's presence through and by Jesus. Just as Jesus said, no one could come to the Father except through Him. So now we go back to the present. Since Jesus is the one who opened the way to God the Father, if God offers salvation to someone who has not heard the gospel because they placed their faith in Him, even though they did not understand the whole gospel, wouldn't it still be true that they got to the Father through Jesus Christ who opened the way? I believe that to be true.
That also brings me to the idea of those who are mentally ill or who are aborted as unborn babies, etc... They too have no way of hearing the gospel or understanding it, yet I believe that God is merciful and loving to them and will only judge them for what they do know not what they don't know. Now I will be the first one to say that with God anything is possible, so it is possible that God knows what decision they would have made if they had heard the gospel. I believe that is true of those in isolated countries who have never heard the gospel too. However, I think that if God did allow those who were mentally ill or killed before they reached the age of reason into heaven it would still be through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I don't claim to have all the answers, nor do I claim to speak for God, but I do think I understand His nature because He has showed it to us in His word. Therefore I believe my view is consistent with His nature and with Scripture. No matter what, I know that God is fair and loving to His creation.

A congregation losing its house of worship, once a rare event, is
now common in Colorado — part of a national trend of record
foreclosures on churches.
The real-estate information company CoStar Group looked at five
years of distressed church sales and found only a handful of
foreclosures nationwide prior to 2008, when the number jumped to
24. In 2009, the figure was 67.
CoStar Group spokeswoman Angela Brown said the market saw
a big spike in 2010 with 135 churches sold after a lender-initiated
foreclosure. In 2011, there were 138 such sales.
The states with the highest percentages of forced church sales
often were those with some of the worst home-foreclosure rates,
including California, Florida and Michigan.
In Colorado, church real-estate specialist Todd Whittaker, president
of Service Realty Inc. in Denver, says church foreclosures occur
with some regularity now... Other congregations are trying to sell
their buildings before it comes to that.
"We're pretty active, but it's because churches are struggling,"
Whittaker said. "Their offerings are way down. Churches need to
sell. We have 10 church listings in the Denver area, when normally
we have seven or eight, and they are moving slowly. Banks are
nervous about lending to churches right now... I don't see an end
to this any time soon."

1968 PROPHECY from 90-YEAR-OLD WOMAN in NORWAY

PROPHECY from 90-YEAR-OLD WOMAN in NORWAY
Fri, Sep 30, 2011 at 4:28 AM

An old woman of 90 from Valdres in Norway had a vision from God
in 1968. The evangelist Emanuel Minos had meetings (services)
where she lived. He had the opportunity to meet her, and she told
him what she had seen. He wrote it down, but thought it to be so
unbelievable that he put it in a drawer. After 30 years, he understood
he had to share the vision with others.
The woman from Valdres was a very alert, reliable, awake and
credible Christian, with a good reputation among all who knew her.
This is what she saw:
"I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak
of the Third World War. I saw the events with my natural eyes. I
saw the world like a kind of a globe and saw Europe, land by land.
I saw Scandinavia. I saw Norway. I saw certain things that would
take place just before the return of Jesus, and just before the last
calamity happens, a calamity the likes of which we have never
before experienced.
She mentioned four waves:
1. "First before Jesus comes and before the Third World War
breaks out there will be a ‘détente’ like we have never had before.
There will be peace between the super powers in the east and the
west, and there will be a long peace. [Remember, that this was in
1968 when the cold war was at its highest. -E. Minos]. In this period
of peace there will be disarmament in many countries, also in
Norway and we are not prepared when it (the war) comes. The
Third World War will begin in a way no one would have anticipated -
and from an unexpected place.
2. "A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians,
a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be
open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times,
want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and
restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity
(happiness) Christianity.
"The important thing will be to have success, to be something; to
have material things, things that God never promised us in this way.
Churches and prayer houses will be emptier and emptier. Instead
of the preaching we have been used to for generations -like, to take
your cross up and follow Jesus, - entertainment, art and culture will
invade the churches where there should have been gatherings for
repentance and revival. This will increase markedly just before the
return of Jesus.
3. "There will be a moral disintegration that old Norway has never
experienced the likes of. People will live together like married
without being married. [I do not believe the concept ‘co-habitor’
existed in 1968 - E. Minos.] Much uncleanness before marriage,
and much infidelity in marriage will become the natural (the
common), and it will be justified from every angle. It will even enter
Christian circles and we pet it - even sin against nature. Just before
Jesus returns there will be TV- programs like we have never
experienced. [TV had just arrived in Norway in 1968. -E. Minos]
"TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people
to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our
streets. People will copy what they see. There will not be only one
‘station’ on TV, it will be filled with ‘stations.’ [She did not know the
word ‘channel’ which we use today. Therefore she called them
stations. -E. Minos.] TV will be just like the radio where we have
many ‘stations,’ and it will be filled with violence. People will use
it for entertainment. We will see terrible scenes of murder and
destruction one of the other, and this will spread in society. Sex
scenes will also be shown on the screen, the most intimate things
that take place in a marriage." I prote[sted and said, we have a
paragraph that forbids this kind of thing. -E. Minos.] There the old
woman said: "It will happen, and you will see it. All we have had
before will be broken down, and the most indecent things will pass
before our eyes."
4. "People from poor countries will stream to Europe. [In 1968
there was no such thing as immigration. -E. Minos.] They will also
come to Scandinavia - and Norway. There will be so many of them
that people will begin to dislike them and become hard with them.
They will be treated like the Jews before the Second World War.
Then the full measure of our sins will have been reached [I
protested at the issue of immigration. I did not understand it at
the time. -E. Minos.]
The tears streamed from the old woman’s eyes down her cheeks.
"I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and
the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war." (She saw it
in the vision.)
"All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to
this one, and it will be ended with a nuclear atom bomb. The air
will be so polluted that one cannot draw one’s breath. It will cover
several continents, America, Japan, Australia and the wealthy
nations. The water will be ruined (contaminated?). We can no
longer till the soil. The result will be that only a remnant will remain.
The remnant in the wealthy countries will try to flee to the poor
countries, but they will be as hard on us as we were on them.
"I am so glad that I will not see it, but when the time draws near,
you must take courage and tell this. I have received it from God,
and nothing of it goes against what the Bible tells.
"The one who has his sin forgiven and has Jesus as Savior and
Lord, is safe."
WHEN the OIL FLOWS
An elder in the Pentecostal Church at Moss, Norway, Martin
Andersen, heard the following prophecy in 1937, in Moss:
‘When oil comes out of the North Sea and along the Norwegian
coast, things will begin to happen, and the return of Jesus is
approaching.’
When these words had been proclaimed, people stood up in the
congregation and asked the man to sit down and not speak such
nonsense. In 1937 it was indeed nonsense to talk about oil being
pumped along the Norwegian coast. Today all the world’s big oil
companies are pumping oil along the coast of Norway. Norway is
the world’s third greatest exporter of oil - after Saudi Arabia.
Original source editor’s note:
Because of my fear of transmitting false prophecy, I have diligently
inquired concerning the information in this letter. Publication has
been delayed until permission could be secured from Ragna [Von
Porat] in Israel. In my contact with her, she has assured me that
these accounts are true and reliable. In fact, she relates that the
first account has already been published in one of Norway’s
Christian newspapers.
I have found in my own research that the first account was also
published by the Christian Information Service in Germany. The
website of Dr. Emanuel Minos is active today and can be accessed
for verification. Although the language on this site is Norwegian, the
very similar story of the woman and her vision is posted there in
English. The above accounts are transmitted just as they were received.
Ragna took it upon herself to verify as much of the above
information as she could... Ragna states, "I certainly have no
objection to your going ahead [with publishing]. It must be now-if ever."

Last Word of David Wilkerson before he died

ANDREW STROM:  I got home from Papua New Guinea last night
to find that it was true what I had heard - that David Wilkerson had
been killed in a car crash and gone home to be with the Lord. Truly
a great man of God who will be sorely missed on this earth. One
of the few voices for Truth and Righteousness that had a global
reach in the modern church. We will miss you, David.  Below is
his final Devotional that he sent out just before his death at age 79-
WHEN ALL MEANS FAIL
-David Wilkerson (Apr 27).
