Judge with Right Judgment


"Judge with Right Judgment"


The Hebrew name
Jehoshaphat means "Jehovah has judged."

This is not you or me judging but rather simply acknowledging that "This is what God says." If God says in the Bible that something is wrong, and a church or certain individual does something contrary to what the Bible says, we are not judging them, but rather it is the Word of God that judges. This is what it means when the Bible says, "Judge with right judgment" (John 7:24). Judging with right judgment means judging with God's judgment, not with our own.

Anakrino - To Discern

The Greek word for "judge" is
krino. If you put the prefix ana in front of the word krino, you get a variation on the idea of judging, which is "to discern."

"But he who is spiritual judges [anakrino] all things, yet he himself is judged [anakrino] by no man." (I Corinthians 2:15).

God, in His Word, commands us to anakrino (discern). It is not a privilege, a right, or simply something that is advisable; but it is a commandment. We are commanded to anakrino, and if you do not discern, it will cause you to lack wisdom. Those who practice wisdom cannot be judged by anyone. Why? Because they anakrino (discern) in accordance with I Corinthians 2:15.

Diakrino - To Decide

"I say this to your shame. It is so, that there is not among you one wise man who will be able to decide [diakrino] between his brethren?" (I Corinthians 6:5).

Another prefix which changes the meaning of krino is "dia." Diakrino means to "render a decision" as to whether something is right or wrong. Is someone's behavior morally right or wrong? Is it scriptural or unscriptural? Is it of God, of the flesh, or of the devil? The Holy Spirit speaking through Paul commanded us to diakrino. We are not permitted or privileged to diakrino, but we are commanded to diakrino. It is not that judging is acceptable. Rather, to fail to judge is unacceptable.


Kritikos - To Discern Between Soul and Spirit

"For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge [kritikos] the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12).

Cells called erythrocytes are stored in the red marrow of big bones, like the femur and the tibia. On the outside there is the bone and on the inside there is the marrow. But in between there is, figuratively speaking, a gray area; a place where even with the aid of a microscope, it is difficult to tell where exactly the bone ends and where the marrow begins.

The Bible says that the relationship between soul and spirit is like that. Take prophecy for example. Was that from someone's imagination or was it God's Spirit speaking through their spirit? It is very difficult to tell the difference. Man is a three-dimensional being. You can separate a body from a soul; but you cannot easily tell where the soul ends and the spirit begins.

When people say, "The Lord showed me this" and "God told me that," it is difficult to know if it is someone's imagination or God's Spirit speaking to their spirit. The mind is a good servant, but a dangerous master. There are people out there who are prophesying with their own mind, so discern prophecies carefully by drawing from the Word of God.

We are called to kritikos (to discern between the soulish and the spiritual). The Word of God enables us to separate the bone from the marrow, the spiritual from the purely soulish.

Krisis - Heaven or Hell

"But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ" (Romans 14:10).

There is a kind of judging that we are not called to do. The Greek word is krisis. For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment [krisis] to the Son (John 5:22). The ultimate determination of heaven and hell belongs solely to the Lord Jesus Christ (The Word). We never krisis and are strictly forbidden to do so.

Krites - The Judge of All

We must remember that God is the ultimate Judge of all the earth (Genesis 18:25; Isaiah 33:22; James 4:12), and Jesus, being the Son of God, functions as Judge as well (John 8:16; James 5:9; I Peter 4:5).

"To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge [krites] of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect," (Hebrews 12:23).

In addition, we as Christians are forbidden to judge others when human judgment infringes on God's perogative as Judge.

"Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand" (Romans 14:4).

"Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God" (I Corinthians 4:5).

"Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?" (James 4:11-2).

Hupo-Krites - Pharisees

Christians are forbidden to judge others when such judgment entails intolerance of another's sin coupled with blindness of one's own sin (Matthew 7:1-6; Luke 6:37; John 8:7; Romans 2:1-4)

If we are going to stand up and confront other people in the church about something being wrong, we had better make sure we are not guilty of the same thing.

Here the prefix
hupo is added to krites, giving us the English word hypocrites. This is what Jesus meant when He said:

"Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." (Matthew 7:1-6).

"Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things" (Romans 2:1).

Does Jesus want us to close our eyes to evil and error? Absolutely not! Those would all be misapplications of Jesus' teaching. In the first place, He was not commanding blind acceptance but rather grace toward others. Since all of us deal with flesh patterns from time to time, we need to stop bothering with the failing of others and start attending to serious issues of our own. We are sometimes appointed to krites, but we should never, ever hupo-krites.

Christians in Court?

Although God is the Judge of all, He has appointed people under Him to judge. The Bible encourages Christians to judge [krites] what is right for themselves and thus avoid pagan lawcourts.

"Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right? Luke 12:58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison. Luke 12:59 I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite" (Luke 12:57-59).

"Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?" (I Corinthians 6:1,4-7).

Scripture is explicit: taking another Christian to court is an "utter failure." What, then, should we as believers do when we have disputes that normally call for litigation? Paul recommends that we take the matter before wise believers who can make a judgment (I Corinthians 5:3-5; I Corinthians 6:4-5). But suppose we can't arrange that? Then Paul says it would be better to "accept wrong" than to go before unbelievers for judgment. Why? Well, because the court system doesn't base their decisions on what the Bible says but rather opinion. Remember, the Bible tells us that "judgment must begin at the house of God" (I Peter 4:17).

Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican" (Matthew 18:15-17).

Judging Fruit

The Bible tells us that we are called to judge reputed prophets by their fruits:

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:16-20).

Remember, Jesus said you would know people and be able to judge them by their fruit; He never said you would know a "phenomenon" such as a revival by its fruit.

Judging Prophecy

We are commanded in the Bible to judge prophecy. Look what Paul wrote to the church at Corinth:

"And let two or three prophets speak, and let the others [diakrino] pass judgment" (I Corinthians 14:29).

"But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him" (Deuteronomy 18:20-22).

Jesus warned that there would be many false prophets in the last days. Besides judging their fruit, how can we discern whether or not a prophet is false? Well, according to the passage above, if a prophecy does not come to pass, then the prophet is a false prophet. Although false prophets are not stoned today, their "ministries" definately should be.

I Corinthians 14:29 does not say that we are entitled to diakrino prophets or prophecies, but rather we are commanded to judge prophecies and prophets. Now, remember, we cannot krino (judge) anyone. The thing that God has said will krino [judge]. We have to anakrino (discern); are things of God, man, or of the devil? We must diakrino (render a decision) based on whether something is morally right or wrong by biblical standards.

Jesus said,
"If you love me, keep my commandments." If you fail to diakrino, you are failing to keep His commandments. If you fail to diakrino, you will allow these false prophets to keep on giving people "words" from their own flesh or from Satan. People like that should be brought to account and exposed.

Judging Righteously

"Then I charged your judges at that time, saying, 'Hear the cases between your fellow countrymen, and judge righteously between a man and his fellow countrymen, or the alien who is with him" (Deuteronomy 1:16).

Beloved, this was not advice but rather a command. We are to "Judge with right judgment" (John 7:24).

Conclusion

In today's society, nobody seems to take responsibility for their own actions anymore. How can we expect society to live up to God's standards, when the Church will not even live up to God's standards?

The Church must set the example. We must be salt and light to a society that has turned its back on God. Unsaved people are watching the Church, when they see the church as lukewarm, it gives them a license to sin. We as individuals must take responsibility for our own lives and our own choices. It is up to the Church to righteously judge according to the Word to ensure that Jesus will have a pure Bride (a Church without blemish or spot) when He returns.

FOR NEW CHRISTIANS



FOR NEW CHRISTIANS WHO ARE BEING TORMENTED BY EVIL SPIRITS who can't seem to get victory in their lives. When we are saved we come with baggage (emotional and spiritual issues). Salvation is to come to Jesus and surrender all to Him and accept Him as Lord and Savior of your life. The problem with many new Christians is that they repent at the altar, accept Jesus and repeat the "the sinners prayer" - but THIS IS THE PROBLEM once that person leaves the church and out the doors “many” go back to their sinful lives. I know what I am talking about.

I used to do that very thing throughout my life. I was raised in the Baptist church but left to go out into the world at 12 years old. I would go to church once-in-a-while to take my mom or for special occasions throughout the years. I would go up to the altar call, again for the umpteenth time, repeat the sinners prayer and accept Jesus all over again time after time. But as soon as I left the church I went right back to the world and sin. This is what the word says about that. PROVERBS 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. I finally came back to the Lord in 1991 and fully committed by 1992.

When we continue to sin over and over again we crucify our Lord Jesus all over again.
HEBREWS 6:4 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Remember God the Father and Jesus our Savior hates sin, so we are to hate sin too. Sin is satan's tools to steal, kill and destroy humans who were made in God's image. Satan's job is to bring many people down to hell with him. And those who satan manages to deceive “completely, are in danger of hell, and many are there already in perpetual torment never ending. Years back brother Curillo said God took him into a vision. As he looked down at the floor he saw many openings of footsteps that on the floor. He could see through the footstep openings and he went over to look down into them. What he saw brought deep sorrow, because he was looking down into hell and brim stones. He heard and saw images of people in torment screaming and shouting help me, help me. But he knew that nobody not even God could help them. They made their choice and they chose to reject Jesus. If you reject Jesus you reject the Father. So God told him that He had a mission for him. God told brother Curillo to bring one million souls into His kingdom. And that was his mission throughout the years.

Many Christians say that we cannot lose our salvation. But if you reject God and His Son Jesus and decide to follow other gods, He will reject you before His Father. So yes, if we reject Jesus we lose our salvation. The word says:
MATTHEW 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. PHILLIPIANS 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for hit is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. MATTHEW 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

TO REPENT OF YOUR SINS MEANS, YOU NO LONGER HAVE A SIN NATURE. THIS IS WHY ONE HAS TO BE “BORN AGAIN BY THE SPIRIT”. IT IS POSSIBLE TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE WHEN YOU TRULY REPENT. BECAUSE YOU NO LONGER DESIRE THE LUST OF THE FLESH. You now desire God's ways and hate evil and hate sin because the Father and the Lord Jesus hate sin.



1 JOHN 3:8-10 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.





THOSE WHO WILL NOT MAKE IT TO HEAVEN:

(KJV) 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-11 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

HOW TO GET SAVED: (1) we repent fully before God (2) we ask God to forgive us of our sins (3) He forgives us of our sins. (4) from that day forth you will work out your salvation every day by resisting the temptation to sin and become born again by the Spirit of God and find a good church to plant yourself to be taught and descipled. It takes 9 months for a child to be born. How long will it take you to become born again by the Spirit of God?

Warfare Prayer for our Family



I am thankful, Heavenly Father, that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, to the casting down of imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and to bring every thought into obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ. 
Therefore, in our lives in this family today I tear down the strongholds of satan and smash the plans of satan that have been formed against our marriage, children and grandchildren. I tear down the strongholds of satan against our mind and from controlling spirits and ungodly influences around us, and I surrender to you our marriage, and our whole family. 
We affirm, Heavenly Father, that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of strong mind. I break and smash the strongholds of satan formed against our our family today. We smash the strongholds of satan formed against our will today. We give our wills to You and we choose to make the right decisions of faith. We smash the strongholds of satan formed against our body today, we give our bodies to You recognizing that we are Your temples. 
We rejoice in Your mercy and goodness. We am grateful, Heavenly Father, that Lord Jesus Christ spoiled all the principalities and powers triumphing over them in Himself. We claim all that victory for me and my wife and my family today. 
We reject all the insinuations, accusations, control and bad influences and the temptations of satan that come against us. We affirm that the Word of God is true. We choose to live today in the light of God's Word. We choose, Heavenly Father, to live in obedience to You and in fellowship with You.
 
Open our eyes and show us the areas of our lives that do not please You. Work in us and cleanse us from all areas in our lives that would give satan a foothold against us. Have us in every way stand in all that it means to be Your adopted child. Have us welcome all the ministry of the Holy Spirit into our lives by faith and in dependance of You, may we put off fleshly works. We stand in all the victory of the resurrection and the provision He had made for us to live above sin.
 
Today, we put off all forms of selfishness and put on love. today we put off all forms of fear and put on courage. We put off all forms of weakness and put on strength. We put off all forms of lust and put on righteousness, purity, and honesty. We are trusting in You to show us how to make this practical in our daily lives.
 
We stand in the victory of the ascension and glorification of the Lord Jesus Christ, where all the principalities and powers were made subject to Him. I claim mine and my family's places in Christ as victorious with Him over all the enemies of our souls. I completely surrender my marriage and children to You Heavenly Father, as a living sacrifice. 

We choose that we not be conformed to this world. We choose that we will be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We pray that You would show us Your will and enable us to walk in all the fullness of Your will today. Blessed Holy Spirit, I pray that You would fill us with Your Spirit. Come into our lives, break down every idol and cast out every foe.
 
We are thankful that You have made a provision, so that today we can live filled with the Spirit of God with love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, faithfulness, and self control in our lives. I recognize that this is Your will for me and my family. I therefore reject and resist all the endeavors of satan to rob  us of our peace and blessings. 
 
Heavenly Father, we pray that now and through this day You would strengthen and enlighten us. Show my wife and I the way satan is hindering, tempting, lying and distorting the truth in our lives. Enable us to be the kind of persons that would please You. Enable us to be aggressive in prayer and in trusting You. Enable us to be aggressive in fighting for our marriage and for our children and grandchildren.
 
Also, I pray that You, blessed Lord, would heal our heart from all rejection, hurts and disappointments in our life and that you will set us free from all these things. I ask you Lord that you will break off of our family all generational curses today from our mother and father's side of the family and that you will give us the mind of Christ and a heart for the Father.

  We refuse to be discouraged, we refuse to be defeated. For You are the God of all hope. You have proven Your power by resurrecting Jesus Christ from the dead, and I claim in every way this victory over all the satanic forces and ungodly influences in our life and in our marriage. 

I pray this all in the precious Name of the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving. I love and honor and bless You every day of our lives Lord, You rescue us from the snare of Your enemy because of Your unfailing love for us, and we give all praise and glory to You! Amen, Amen, Amen

No one looked on you with pity or had compassion enough to do any of these things for you. Rather, you were thrown out into the open field, for on the day you were born you were despised.
“‘Then I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, “Live!” I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and entered puberty. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked.
“‘Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.
“‘I bathed you with water and washed the blood from you and put ointments on you. 10 I clothed you with an embroidered dress and put sandals of fine leather on you. I dressed you in fine linen and covered you with costly garments. 11 I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck, 12 and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. 13 So you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was honey, olive oil and the finest flour. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen.

Are you a victim or a victor? Are you going to let the injustices and mess ups of the past keep you in bondage to the “victim mentality?” If you can get this and see it for what it is, it will set you free and it will change your life. The victim mentality is our worse enemy.

We are many people of different nationalities here in this country and many of our parents were victims of “injustice” through racism and prejudism, or through abuse, etc., but we don't have to stay in that condition forever. Jesus came to set us free of from all these things.

When we hold on to these “injustices” it keeps us from hearing the Holy Spirit telling us what we must do to overcome that. We are so into the victim mentality that we don't realize we are slaves to it.

The word of God says that the truth will set us free, so lets see what this means.

John 8:31- 36 NKJV Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." 33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free'?" 34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. 36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. 37

So those who blame others for the wrong they do are victims of sin. The don't realize that they are in rebellion and disobedience. Listen to a person who always makes excuses for the wrong they do. It is always someone else's fault. The enemy has blinded them to those things that are keeping them from being successful and overcomers in their lives.

We are to minister “freedom” to the captives, victims of past injustices so they can be set free and began to live as “victors”.

The Race Card

The race card is a crutch to those with a “victim mentality”. It makes us blame it on “racism” for the bad things that we do when we get caught and it keeps us in bondage.

I myself refuse to be a victim, so I don't talk about the injustices of racism from the past. “I am not a victim I am a victor.”

What does the victim mentality look like?

  1. The victim mentality keeps us in a state of victimization mode
  2. It makes us blame every body else for our "mess ups. "it's always somebody elses fault";
  3. So we never change.
  4. Why change when it is somebody else's fault?
  5. We walk around with a defeated look.
  6. It's like having the word "DEFEATED" written on our forehead.
  7. We walk around with our heads down & our shoulders hunched over, that defeated look.
    8.  Gets offended easily
    9.  Angry

This is such a strong word: leaving those things that are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. We are to press towards the goal in our lives. We are to run the race and win.

Okay we mess up, but we don't have to stay "messed Up". We get up, shake ourselves, repent, and get counseling, healing and deliverance and move on to a victorious life.

Every one of us is responsible for our actions in life. Once we become Adults it's up to us to do what we have to do to succeed in life so that we can represent the Lord Well. We are to be good examples in life. If we dwell on the past it means we haven't forgiven.

To Forgive & forget means that we won't dwell on the wrong done to us and we can go forth with our lives.

Let's leave the past injustices and sins behind so that we and our family can live happy lives and be victorious in life.
